swap 5.0 for a 5.8

Is it worth the idea to swap a 5.8 into a 5.0 1989 lx ?

The 5.8 liter is out of a f250 truck , are these any good to swap with ?

What else will have to swap with it ? To make it work.

Depends on the condition of the two motors involved and what all you're looking to do modwise.

I certainly wouldn't swap stock for stock, but if you're putting a decent H/C/I on that 351 you'll certainly make more power with it. The only disadvantage I can think of is that lower intakes might be a hair bit more expensive (oh noes! lol).

Definitely worth it. You'll make more power and the block won't split at 500 like stock 302 blocks. And it's just badass to say you got a 351 under the hood lol

Stock for stock.... less power. Do some research before you do it. Simple things you can do to increase the power with the stock low compression rotating assembly is milling the heads, and changing the cam.

If moneys not a concern do a 408 stroker. I have no experience with this motor but Ive heard its a good stroker motor.

351w

Pros
-displacement
-will take mods a little better
-block strength
-can be stroked quite a bit for cheap

Cons
-extra money to buy it
