cobra or Lx help me choose[pics]
i am planning on buying a fox body this month.i live in florida so i will b buying from blacks automotive and at this moment that have 2 5.0's:
a 1993 cobra black 104k miles STOCK also gt40 heads come stock with cobra? $12,900 a 1993 LX red 138k miles Vortech S-Trim 5-lug conversion anniversary 99 rims full exhaust safely tuned by lammotta performance(very good company down here.VERY) 330rwhp $7,900 i am very 50-50 on this. i am trying to save money and i vbery much trust lammotta performance and have seen other work they have done i want something reliable, i would like all suggestions n comment i can get 1993 s-trim LX ![]() ![]() 1993 cobra ![]() ![]() HELP ME choose, i kno some will say choose what u like but TRUST ME i like both of them n just need some suggestions |

i'd like say keep the one w/ more balls...but the LX is getting up there on the odometer (miles), yet the cobra is more rare, and yeah Gt40's are stock, switch the supercharger over to the cobra and the exhuast too and dump the LX...best idea

138K is just getting broken in! Yes Gt40 comes stock on the 93 cobra, that is what i got my GT40s off of.
I say go with the LX, it has TONS more balls and is cheaper and has a power adder! Just my $0.02.

yea i like the black better but with the money u will be saving u could but some suspension or other parts on it cobras are cool but why spend so much more money on it when u could put that 5 grand into the lx and rebuild the motor and have a much faster car

yeah theres an idea, sell out the cobra, rebuilt and or bore out the 302, do more work to it, get a tremec tranny, and run 12's...

I am just not impressed with the 93 cobras! They arent that different. Just paying for the names and emblems mainly...Get the LX and spend the other 4 grand on suspension, tires, maybe stroke it, and get a custom can, and great tune and there you go!

yeah i agree, im not big on the '93 cobra's too, i dont like the wheels, dont like the spoiler. yeah bore and or stroke the LX, custom cam, aluminum heads, suspension and maybe appearence or interior stuff if you want or need it...

The cobra looks like it is in a lot better shape and more pristine, but they are asking a lot for it! Plus I am a sucker for black cars. With that being said, the LX would be a better deal. And like others said bore and stroke it and you will have a nice little set up!

Here's an idea. You take the over rated, too many miles to be a collector, Cobra, and tell the guy I will buy the LX. I just can't get there to pick it up for three and a 1/2 months!

Go an even better idea...... Buy my 87 GT for $4000, stock, flowmasters, 16" pony rims tinted, and take $4000 and dress it up like you want it. With $4000 you could...
Long tubes x pipe 3.73's underdrives MAS conversion and have a really nice car. |

i would go with the LX..or buy mine for 9,000 ...very nice...347 stroker and all the works..makes over 350 to the wheels...you wont have to do a thing but maybe a 300 dollar tune.

why does so many ppl like the cobra, i think stock ponys look better than the cobra wheels, the GT spoiler is nicer than the cobra one, and you can easily get more than the 240hp offer in 93 w/ the cobra w/ just a few mods to ur LX or GT, and for a fraction of the cost...

Take the cobra man. The LX has been raped I'm sure. And I have an 93 cobra and they have more power than ppl think................of course I won't be the only one on here with a black 93 cobra. But, I will still share the limelight with you, lol. But, seriously cobra would be a nice buy considering they are getting rarer. Well, post your decision.................

Well, I am still not sure of the hp rating but it has to be more than 240. Whenever I dyno I will let you know where it stands before I start messing with the engine. |
