head bore?


With 3.73 gears cold air, msd ignition and flowmaster exaust....im getting new heads and intake manifold, what bore should i go with on the heads? what size is the best and if i get a different size than stock do i need to get new pistons.? thanks.

I think he's talking about the combustion chamber size if i'm not mistaken. When it comes to that, it matters what you plan your setup to be, from what you've already explain on here you going to run it on a stock bottom. you don't have to change your pistons, or anything like that. the big difference in them is probably compression ratio, so my advice is make it easy on yourself and just get a top end kit from TFS or edelbrock. hope that helps, i'll see if i can think of any other info. :wink

Normally most top end kits have anywhere from a 58cc to a 61 cc chamber. The smaller the CC the higher your compression will be.
