Upper Intake Popping Noise
There is a weird popping noise coming from the upper intake and then at the air filter but only under 1500 rpms, anything above that and it goes away. Does anyone have any suggestions wat it could be. Thanks

Mine did the same thing and the rockers weren't shimmmed properly.

that would make sense considering i had to shim the rockers like crazy for the new heads, how do u know what is a proper setting?

What do you mean by "shimming it like crazy"? Its not uncommen to stack a couple of shims. If you got the proload between .020 and .060 you should be fine. Did you check the sweep across the valve stem tip?

me and valvetrain geometry dont mix, i messed with the shims so much i dont know where its at or how to check, and proload? well im guessing this is defintely the problem cause this sounds a tad foreign..lil help please?
