1989 mustang tubular k member problem

OK, I'm building a 89 4cyl v8 swap hatchback. I picked up a 84 mustang that didn't have a title but had a bunch of aftermarket parts for a parts car. I ended up with a AJE tubular K member, weld rims w/28 in tall M/T slicks and a 8.8 w/mini-spool and 456 gears. Well i just pulled the stock 4cyl k-member this after noon and went to install the tube k and the rear pads wont bolt up correctly. I can get 1 bolt in on ea. side but not all 4 in the rear. Has anyone else had problems like this? The bolt holes next to the strut bolted up w/o problems its only the rear bolt pad.

You might have gotten the wrong k-member for your year.

Well there was a box with receipts in it in the car. It had one from jegs for a 79-93 AJE K-member. Im not sure. It was bolted up on the 84 mustang.
