Need Speedo Help, Any Suggestions??

I have a 87 mustang LX auto, converted to a 5.0 GT w/ MAF and T5. Still retains 2.73 gears, 225/60/16 tires (26.63 inches tall) have 140mph cluster and have no clue what gear I need and those calculators arent seem to be helping. My speedo is off by about 10-15mph (slower) at highway speeds, but pretty accurate around town. Any suggestions? please help this is very annoying

Its because your overdrive is different. Get a matching speedo gear for a T5 and 2.73s.

Is it also true that gt's with T5's only came with 3.08 rears?

I'm not sure about that, but you should have a metal tag bolted to your differential that should have your gear ratio on it.
