t5 issue

just bough an 88 notch 5.0, stick, hurst shifter and other minor mods. the guy i bought it off got deported so i pick it up cheap off his girlfriend. he told me the over the internet that the tranny was just rebuilt, but the damn thing you have to hold the shifter in second or it will pop out sometimes, exspecially when letting the clutch out. It also will make noise going into fourth if shifting slowly. I think i was poorly rebuilt or not at all. i'd like to fix the second gear problem more but if its all in the tranny im just goin to keep driven it I really just bought for the body. any input would be great thanks
will post pics of my rides as soon as i get them computer

It sounds like second gear is stripped out even thou he said he rebuilt it. Because they do pop out of gear when the gear is striped out
