somebody help asap (oil problem)


so my 91 mustang oil filter adapter is striped i went to ford to ford and they sold me a new oil filter adapter that has a alien key but i do not kno how to get the old 1 off..ANY HELP WILL WORK..

I've never had to replace mine, however...

Look at the new part you have. Does it have threads where it might screw in? Holes where screws/studs/bolts go through it? A smooth surface that might press in? That should give you a really good clue how the old one comes out.

Now get under your car, clean it up real good so you can see what you're working with, and make sure that you have the right part. Remove as is appropriate for how it mounts. You may need to invest in a pair of vice-grips.

It threads in. It should also have an allen key head on it in the middle to unscrew it from the block. They're very simple to change out.
