Head Gasket Going???

Ive noticed myself topping off the coolant resivior every now and then and im not seeing any leaks. So im wondering...is it leaking inside? It blows a LITTLE bit white when its humid or dew is on car, but then it stops..never alot except 1 time it was cold out and i was at a stoplight and it was blowing alot. Other then that im getting a lil scared. This just started to happen and i was told the whole top end motor was bran new....?

This car never blowed any smoke when i got her and she runs perfect and strong and stays ultra cool. So if its a headgasket..what are some obvious signs besides white smoke? Thanks guys

Pull the radiator cap and look for bubbles while the car is running. You can also have the cooling system pressure tested, or do a leakdown test. Could also be an intake gasket.

im runnning into a very similar situation. i actually overheated today on my way home and found the rad half empty. i filled not a week before, however i just recently drained system so idk maybe its still finding its way into new areas. but i have new 180 thermostat and just cannot seem to figure it out. id hate to find out its a head gasket though. car runs great. no smoke except from valve cover breather....alot... but thats also new so idk maybe the air filter oil burning from newness?

my actual rad. is NEVER empty or losin coolant, just the resivoir. car runs great, also i found out if your car runs rich which mine does..that could be the white smoke a lil bit. But again who knows. With cars you have to assume the best but prepare for the worst so im thinking its my gasket.

do you think the low coolant is related somehow to my breather giving off smoke?

who knows man, prolly not. if coolant was going to leak it would be the combustion chamber not the actual valve covers...im still puzzled though

Its possible that the heater core is leaking a little and coming out the a/c condesation Drain hole on the fire wall which is what i think is happening to mine. I would also check to see if your egr Spacer gasket. Hasn't failed, that would let coolant into your intake

If your heater hoses are not connected to the heater core at the fire wall then.......no. Do you still have your coolant lines hook up to you egr Spacer...cuz like i Said if that gasket fails coolant will leak into your intake.

Okay well, since your hoses are still conected then its possible. Do a system pressure test.

As for the egr spacer' not sure how to check that with out just taking it apart and looking at the gasket. Gasket is super cheap and easy to replace. Maybe some one else here has a way of checking with out taking it apart
