Piston ring help

Hey, I just ordered some piston rings off of RockAuto, Advanced didn't carry the right size, I needed the metrics. I ordered the DNJ 1.5x1.5x4.0, And on the compression rings there is a beveled edge on one side of each of them. How do I put these on? Both beveled edges up? One up or one down? Really could use your guy's input thanks.

I've never seen a set of rings that didn't come with instructions, as all rings are different. Look at the instructions, they have pictures on them to help you.

They didn't come with instructions...otherwise I wouldn't have asked. Don't mean to be a smartass, but that would have been my first instinct.

beveled side usually goes up, but not always. Check the manufacturers website or try to contact them.

Is there a little dot of paint on one side of the rings? Paint dot is always the side that goes up.. at least in my experience. Bevel can be either way though like junkie said.
