Putting a Tremec 3650 in a Fox 1990

Does any one have a web site or info on this swap and what is involved.
I have a 1990 Notch with a 5 speed that I would like to swap to a 3650.
Thanks.

Other than requiring a different bell housing, the swap is pretty straight forward. All I needed to do was grind some of the bell housing flange with a grinder so my exhaust would clear the edge.

So all the mounts line up with the fox stuff? And do you have to run a differant flywheel and clutch, and pressure plate?

I didn't put the gizmo that the X-Pipe hangers hang from, but have it here to try. Same pressure plate. I run a King Cobra clutch. The only difference is the bellhousing. I had a scattershield put in.

Other than that, it bolts right in.

How do you like it versus the T-5. I had an 2002 GT with 4:10 gears and it felt like it had 4:88 I have 4:10 in my Fox and it feels like 3:55'S Did you feel the same differance?

It's a good transmission. It has a good shifter on it, and shifts fast and smooth. I put it in to take the extra HP from the blower, and so far so good.

I have 3.73's in the back of the car, and 1st gear is pretty short. In short, I like it.

Haggis, you have a Tremec 3550 right? He was asking about a 3650 which was used in 99-newer GT's. As far as I know it won't easily bolt up to a 5.0, but I may be wrong... A Tremec 3550 will go in without any difficult mods (I hope anyways since I plan on installing mine within the next 2 weeks)
