Instrument Gauge Cluster

I have a 91 GT with 132k miles. The fuel gauge and speedo wasn't working so I replaced the sending unit in the tank and the speedo cable with the sensor at the trany. Fuel gauge still doesn't work and the speedo now hits 140mph while going 20mph. I scored a completed cluster online and now the speedo, fuel, oil pressure, and volt meter don't work.

Where do I start to troubleshoot this mess? Also, How can I install an aftermarket mechanical speedo gauge and other electrical gauges into the stock cluster? Electrical connections???

Thanks!

There a small circuit board on the back of the gauge cluster, its a volt regulator for the gauges and is the anti slosh for the fuel gauge, only 1990-1993 mustangs have this,, if you still have the your cluster id try swaping it out.......oh ya if your new cluster doesnt have the slot for this circuit board then you bought the wrong year cluster , if the one in your old cluster is bad, look around ebay for one, if you want new here you go 1990-93 Mustang Instrument Voltage Regulator by Ford at LRS - Same Day Shipping!

Location....flip cluster over it will be plugged in to cluster above fuel gauge.

The cluster was from another 91 GT and has the circuit board you mentioned. Since the speedo is mechanical, I don't see how this board would affect this but it makes sense for the other gauges.

Thanks!

I agree, i have no clue about the speedo unless you didnt push it all the way into the cluster or tranny,

The only thing is when my circuit board went bad, my fuel gauge is the only thing that didnt work, it always read empty. So i cant garranty that this is your issue, but its worth a shot
