Well my combo roughly laid down 275 at the rear wheels. going off of my trap speed.
I had a trick flow stage 1 and ported gt40p heads along with a port matched lower cobra intake. My cam is similar to the e cam but better. That xe270 would be a better choice tho. Remember to upgrade the springs on the heads..

Im just going put my 2 cents in. If you can find some gt40 heads dirt cheap and then spend a little on having them check out by a machine shop, then fine, through them on and have a good time...... but if you spend the money on having them ported on top of the purchace price and having them gone through by a shop.....then this little cheap upgrade really isnt cheap any more. The money spent on that could have gone towards a good used set of after market aluminum heads, that more times then not will flow more then the ported gt40 stuff will. It may cost you another $100 or two but you end up with a better product that also leaves you room to grow.
Not trying to knock any one that runs gt40 stuff, it just kills me when some says that they have 600-700 dollars in to these heads, when tf heads cost 800-900 used some times cheaper if you come across a sweet deal

i paid 700 for track heat twisted wedge 170s, hi tech stainless roller rockers, pushrods, and upgraded springs, and valves, then sent to machine shop for a 250 dollar valve job and surface, cleanining. Ryanw u must get tired of saying just get aluminum heads some one really needs to make a sticky

To have them ported right you most likely have to pay some one who has done it for years and has the tools and flow bench to test them. This is not some thing you can learn from watch a half hour of power block tv. Now almost any one can gasket match two parts but thats much different then porting, and if its done wrong you can hurt your self as much as as helping. And then end result wheather its a good port job or not, todays modern heads flow better right out of the box.

I went on that DIY website and ported my own heads at my dads Machine shop. I got the heads for $100 and bought springs for $150..
. I'm actually selling em for $350.. They're ready to bolt up.. I only used that Combo for about 5 months till I got bored of it and decided to build the stroker I have now.

Now if you ported the heads your self...did you have them tested, making sure each runner flowed equally, im sure theres more to it then just making the runners larger Im not trying to be a dick, im just saying the quality of work is much different from a do it your selfer vs. Some one who does it for a living and has the paper work to back it up

I never put them on the flow bench.. I ported the bitches and then port matched the intake. Put everything back together and took it to the track and trapped 103 every time.
I wasn't disappointed cause I was aware I could've messed em up in the port process. But 275whp is what I wanted so I guess I didn't do so bad
