Help Any Suggestions


well pulled the heads off noticed the guy before snappe the head bolt so i used an extractor the next thing i know it snapps and extractor is harder than everything air hammer, punch. drill. any suggestions i even tried hitting it with a torch and no luck called machine shop he said he has no idea of i how i would get it out its the passenger side, farthest bottom bolt towards back of motor, motor is already out

I know on the bolts I have previously broke, Ive welded nuts to the broken bolt, even if its flush with the surface and turned them out. Sometimes takes a few tries but is effective. I've also seen some good welders weld beads onto a broken bolt that is recessed and be able to pull it out. Not sure if it would work the same for your extractor, but its worth the shot.

thats sucks bro...i snapped an extractor on my ground hole on the timming cover( cuz the old owner broke the bolt off, need less to say i never got it out, so i cant be of any help here

oh ya, when you install your new aluminum heads. dont torque the headers and intake down like you would with on the stock cast irion heads other wise your running the risk of stipping the aluminum threads
