85 bullitt build
I recently bought an 85 Mustang GT that im looking to work on. It needs some work but i wanted to see what you guys thought of building it to look like a bullitt. Since they never made a bullitt fox i think it would be cool to do. I already have bullitt rims off a 2001. What do you guys think?

I love the year....my first was a 85 black gt with svo quarter panel window sails and the svo little skirting that mounts right in front of the rear wheel, i wish i still had her.
Your build should be cool, im just not a fan of green mustangs, but sounds like a fun build. Other then green paint and wheels, what else do you plan for the body ?

Nah not a notch, my bro has a notch though that hes building for SCCA. But yeah i love the style of the 85-86 mustangs. I plan on putting a cobra spoiler and probably 1.5 or 2.5 inch cowl hood on it. Not to sure about anything else though at this point

. Definitely matter of opinion tho. I personally made my old GT into a cobra clone. But I'll keep my LX on the stock wing...

Dont get me wrong i like the cobra wing, i just like the stock look of the 85, with or with out a cowl hood, well i still like saleen wings to...lol

I used to have an 85 also and really liked it, just didn't have the money to do anything with it back then. I also like the cobra spoiler, that what i put on my 89. I don't think i've seen pics of a fox/bullitt either, sounds cool

I didn't put the cobra wing on my car, came that way. I'm not sure what I would have done. Probably would have put a GT hatch wing on it. But since it's there, well, it stays,

It’s your rendition but I would keep the stock rear spoiler or remove it and ditch the cowl hood idea. The 68 390 didn’t have either. Since you’re going to paint it, I would de-badge it and replace with some 01 or 08 badges and graphics.

You do make a good point on the spoiler and hood. The origonal bullitt didnt have anything like that. But no spoiler looks terrible on the 85 bodystyle. You guys are making me think im going to stick with the stock spoiler. Plus it will save me 300$ hahaha. And im still thinking im going to do the cowl hood. But just a 1 and a half inch.
