intercooler question

im planning on building a single turboed 306 for my 85 hatch. I want to run a water to air intercooler. How big of an intercooler would be sufficient for that setup. i would also like to know recommendations on a turbo as well, i want to be a street strip car more strip than street.

i havent checked on inter coolers yet but id run about a 65 mm turbo, much more and you wont spool you could go smaller but to small and youll spool to quik and boost to much. but a little smaller like a 60mm youll boost quiker wich will be nice for street. the size of your inter cooloer, id go the largest you can put in that car. the colder the air the more power. cold air is denser, a turbo actually heats the air because its attached to the exhaust, so you need to cool it alot.

Well I'm wanting to put the intercooler where the evaporator box is located. That's why I want a water to air so I should be able to fit a pretty good size one there. Thanks for info
