clear lenses on OEM headlight housing?

Will clear aftermarket headlight lenses fit an OEM headlight housing? I know they are basically the same size around the edges, but I didn't know if they sealed the same.

I want to do the HID retro fit, but I am not about to cut into brand new headlights. I have clear lenses already and I can get a pair of OEM headlights fairly cheap. I'm wondering if the clear lenses will fit the OEM housings and I can just cut into them to do the HID retro fit.

From some pictures I've seen online, it looked like someone else had already done something similar to this and it actually looked quite well.

If anyone has done this or knows if it will work I'd sure appreciate hearing about it. Thanks.

The head light you have now are the a one piece design cuz the stock ones are 3 piecs

I know nothing about hids, so im unsure what your saying about taking the head lights apart, the stock head light are sealed other then where the light inserts into them

No I have the 3 piece headlights with projector like these 1987-93 Mustang Chrome Projector Headlight Kit at LRS - Same Day Shipping!

On these, the plastic clear lense can come off by either melting the glue around the edge or cutting it.

I am wanting to know if I can remove the OEM headlight lense, will my current clear lenses fit the OEM housing?

What the hell are you trying to gain? Having two sets of fucked up headlights that aren't any good anymore?

This is what I am trying to gain....HID Foxbody Projector Retrofit - Ford Mustang Forums : Corral.net Mustang Forum

I thought most were aware of this retrofit by now. It isn't exactly a new idea.
