parts list...
so I'm going to want too make my lx faster. with it being a HO motor are the explorer heads and intake still a upgrade? and if thats going to be where I start, other than trying too find stuff for a 5 speed swap what else needs too be on my list other than headers.

Any V8 mustang from 86-93 is going to be an H.O motor. And yes, the explorer stuff will be an upgrade. Depends on your budget and goals if it's worth it or not though. There's plenty of used aluminum heads for sale now that will cost you not a whole lot more than an explorer set-up and will give much better results.

my car has 3.73's so i'm fine with that. I pretty much want a 13 sec. DD as cheap as I can get there.

They're essentially the same thing and flow within a few CFM of each other. 13's is possible with stock parts, sticky tires, and a good driver if you have a 5 speed car and decent DA.

Cobra flows slightly more than the explorer intake but not worth the extra money. Just get some explorer heads and intake and you'll easily be in the 13's. I broke into the 13's in my last fox with just regular gt40 heads and 4.10 gears along with a 5 speed.
