Equal length shorty headers

How difficult is it to install equal length shorties? Do I have to jack up the motor? How much more over regular nonequal shorties?

More pain in the ass, and better chance of melting plug wires.

+1

You need to get em with a 90 degree boot and still come too close.
Get unequal length.
You don't need to jack up the motor, just the car to undo the bolts to the mid pipe.

Just wondering-I saw a used pair of Bassani's online for 100 bucks. I'm planning to redo my entire exhaust this winter. I'm on a budget and I was interested in getting a MAC prochamber so I was lookin to save on the headers. Ideally I want stainless headers. Rusty headers bug me for some reason. After reading this I'm probably going to go with new stainless unequals and a ss Pypes offroad x.(wich is really affordable)

I bought a stainless steel Flowmaster cat back (american thunder) this past December. I havn't installed it yet -was gonna do everything at once. I was lookn at that and a Spintech but I wanted tail pipes so I went with the FM.

My friend runs that same combo, and it sounds good.
He has unequal BBK shorties, pypes x pipe, Flowmasters.
You'll like the sound.

Nothing sounds better than a full exhaust old 5.0 with Flowmasters. Love that sound!

2.5" all the way? It's a nice loud idle. Nothing obnoxious.
The 3" cat back is a lot louder. I love it. Lol
