New to the mustang world

I have been reading the mustang mags for years now and never had a mustang, and I am looking for a project mustang 87-93 body style. I found a 91 LX it has probably 200,000 miles on it the body needs lots of work not dents and dings just a terrible attempt at painting it, it may even have some bondo on one of the fenders, and the transmission needs some work, what would be a reasonably price for something like that? thanks

Prices vary from location to location, but here in MN which seems to be typically higher with there not being too many fox's and you only get to drive them half the year, that car sounds like a 1000 dollar or less car from the little specifics that you gave. Your best bet is to search the classifieds in your area (autotrader, carsoup, findcars, vehix and of course Craigslist) but just keep in mind that there are many people that have hopes and dreams when you see their asking price, lol. The amount of mods that the car has will of course change the price. Cars that started out as 4 cylinder models theoretically bring less money, but it really doesn't matter as long as they changed all the parts that matter.

IMO a decent stang 87-93 will run you around 5k to 6k in my area. MIght be the same around your area. You could get it a bit cheaper though.

You are better off in buying a mustang that has been raced in that year and demoding it for the street bcs you can find them for around 7-11k fully built. Most of them can already been driven on the streets but have too steep gears

Im not sure were your from but never buy a mustang that has alot of body issues. Find a nice stock non abused car and buuild it and start from the ground up. Were are you located and what is your budget on buying the car?

I am going to look at this one next weekend, and try to take some pictures of it and post them. I really want to spend 2500 or less for a fixer up, I had a camaro, and I sold it a few months ago, it was a really nice car, but I like the fox body cars better, I am not in a rush so I will keep looking too. I live in southwest Louisiana. thanks

2500 or less sounds resonable for a fixer upper.
