Ford racing cobra intake or professional products kit?
I have a buddy who is selling a cobra intake for 150 and I was thinking of grabbing it but I've heard it doesn't perform good without a nice cam? Also I found a intake manifold, 70mm TB, and EGR from professional products for 500 on craigslist. If I choose to grab one of these just for time being which would be mybest choice? I Personaly thought PP was a cheap brand but I did some research and I've found more good ratings than bad. I m currently awaiting my order of... March under drive pulleys, BBK 70mm TB AND EGR (not ordered yet), ProM 75mm MAF, and a FLEX-A-LITE electric fan kit I found for 200 when it's usually 330 340. Just want some comments on those products and if they would make some decent hp numbers with what I have coming. I'm Savin for a a nice set of heads and cam but if I can grab these for cheap mite as well. THANKS!!

I've read in the forums that the FRPP unit is garbage and consumes oil...
I vote Professional Products

I have a professional products EGR spacer and 75mm TB. No issues on my end. Just pulled it off to slap on a different set-up tho.
Personally, I'd grab the cobra intake, do a little hand port / polish, and just buy your bbk TB. Cobra intake will work plenty well enough for your set-up, cammed or not. $500 for an intake could buy you a name-brand that flows WAY better than PP IMO. I have the GT40 tubular intake (same lower as cobra) and have not had any issues with oil at all.

The original cobra and gt40 stuff is fine. I ran one myself and loved it. It's the Chinese ford racing one that has issues

Cobra intake would be my choice. For 150 you can make profit by selling it for 300 easy. I've heard there is a lot of casting flash on the professional products intake.

You'll prolly see 200-220 CFM, Port and polish the lower and you could see 250CFM. As far as a HP guess, theres too many variables to factor in. But this intake could support up to 375-400HP with the right combination.
