GT40 springs

So I've got a set of gt40 heads and im wondering if i should use the stock valve springs on the gt40 heads or the stock ones off the e7 heads

Just wondering which ones are better springs and the car is staying with the stock cam

If the springs are original, id replace them with new ones regardless of either head, there almost 20 years old

What Ryan said...stock springs are beat to shit. Thing about a normal spring, like in a pen...Imagine it being compressed thousands of times a day for 20 years. Think it'll be ok for round two? Think again. Springs aren't a lot of money and its good for peace of mind.

You can always give em a try, but I wouldn't reccommend it is all.

I suggest waiting until you have the 150$, then do your heads.

Couldn't find anything good, but you can drop a valve from your cylinder head into the cylinder and your heads will be ruined. Along with scoring the cylinder walls and other odds and ends.

Lmfao, that face made me laugh. I love sleep deprivation...but yeah, I shouldn't have even used the springs that came with my Edelbrock heads because they're not matched to my cam but whatever.

Just READ READ READ..Best thing you can do at first. And I doubt Napa would have springs, but they can always order some for you. I don't trust auto parts employees because they could order you a wrong part. That's just me..my Pops has been a mechanic for 25 years now so I never had to worry about that shit.

I think you can get valve float and run the risk of piston and valve hitting.

If your not tearing up the streets, then you mightbe okay, but i wouldnt want to tear into my heads twice, not to mention, taking the chance of some thing going wrong.

Ding ding...Major valve float with old springs. They just don't have enough tension to stop the valve from floating.
