what are the kinds of blowers called that stick out of the hood? with dual carbs and a carb scoop on top? i have always thought it would be so cool to have one, but icant find a brand that makes the blower that actually has slots for the dual carbs on top for mustangs...

companies are a dime a dozen for chevy blowers like that, but im having no luck finding any for mustangs..

look for "671" I know that is a type of roots blower that weiland makes. It is the number for a size for one I think there might be a 571 also.... not too sure

alright i figured it out for ya man....you can get that blower shown in the picture...the blower isnt what matters...if you go to that URL i just sent you then below the pictures it says that you have to choose everything seperatly..a different drive kit and intake is what you choose and they have it for ford engines...just go to the other pages

but why does the blower its self not even look the same? the one i posted a picture of is apparently classified as a "low profile" blower, but i dont want one that stays under the hood.. and also, if all the blower stuff is supposed to be purchased seperately, why does it advertise the blower its self is for chevy only?

are you talking about the first picture you posted?the low profile ones are the ones where you can put a cowl hood on your car and you can only see the carbs ...are you talking about the jegs weiand blower being chevy only? trust me im a little confused myself

lol sorry about that, i will try to start from the beginning..

i want a blower that sticks over the hood, with dual carbs and a carb scoop on top.. i cant find any of those for ford, only chevy engines.. the only kind i can find for ford engines are the low profile, single carb kind like in the first picture i posted

right but if you go to the BDS URL that i gave you they have all the blowers the polished ones with dual carb setup ...and then you get the intake for whatever for block you have BTW what do you have 351? and a drive kit..b/c im sure its all different for ford and chevy with the different distributor placement and what not and these stick out of the hood...do you know what size you want?...6-71...8-71?

302 that im planning on swapping for a 351W.. so are you saying that any blower will fit, as long as i get the correct intake manifold for my engine?

and no, i dont know what size i want

yes the right intake and the right drive kit and your choice of how much air you want to be pumping into your engine and im pretty sure that will do ya...and your welcome im a 17 year old that has learned just as much as you have off of this thread so thank you for posting it
