Changing core support?

How would ya need to change the core support on a Fox body? Cut and weld on a new one? The one on my project car is rusted and all bent up. Here's the pic.

I did one on a civic before and it wasn't too bad. You can either drill out the spot welds or use a air chisel and split it where it meets the frame. There may be other ways but thats how I did it and the new one has to be welded in. I don't know the specifics on a mustang but on the civic it was attached to the fenders as well.

Do you have the fenders off? Doesn't it just bolt on?

Fenders are unbolted at the top but not completely off yet. It "looks" as if it'd unbolt but it seems really tight when I pull on it. Can't see if anything is holding it on or not.

It is probably spot welded in then. If so you will have to take the fenders all the way off and either drill them out with a hole bit or regular drill bit. Same goes for the frame if it is welded like it was said before use a air chisel or a grinder to cut the welds. I thought someone had surely done this before.
