Alternator bracket kit
Been looking around a little bit in Summit and Jegs for an alternator mounting kit as I am going to only have the crank, water pump, and alternator left in the engine bay. Who has used what kit, where did you get it, and pics if you have them of it mounted up. Any help is appreciated!
Scott

Mid or low. So far, I like Aaron Price's the best, but to run it with the water pump, it looks like I'd have to run a standard rotation water pump (from like a crown vic) and then I'd have to change the pulley to a ribbed one (that ASP makes), but I like it the best so far. Hopefully I get some more responses, and maybe I'll find something easier. Otherwise as far as looks go, I like it.

It's not so much the money as it is how it looks and where it places the alternator. I have an issue with things being symetric. So if it's mid mount, it won't look like something really out of place, if that makes sense. Plus I want keep all the working room that I can, and if it's up high, then it's just in the way of running a cooler looking upper radiator hose. Just weird like that, lol. Did you google the one that I was posting about?

Just ordered Aarons kit. Best option I've found! My WP looks crappy anyway, lol.

I read every post, and out of 7 pages there was only one guy at the end, that said his bracket moved a little when ever he checked his belts.....

switch to an electric waterpump then just run crank/ alternator. then you can drop it low and use a small belt. looks way better.

I will when I do the 351. Just not with this 302... I ordered, the bracket, the ribbed pulley from ASP, and just have to get the water pump yet which I will do with my buddies shop discount. When I go 351, I will just buy another kit from Aaron, and sell this setup including pulley and water pump off as a kit to someone else that can use it.

That's the inlet for the pump. It's just the blue part. Not sure what black part you're talking about, but if it's what I'm thinking you're referring to, that's the tie-rod boot on the rack. They do kind of line up at the angle I took the pic.
