Gear choice 3.55, 3.73, or 4.10s???????

I have a 1990 Automatic with only a few little things on it maybe 40 extra HP tops. Im doing a rear rebuild 31-spline Moser Axels 5 lugs, a new T-Lok 31-spline LSD from Ford Racing. Its gonna be my daily driver until the 50th anniversary comes out in 2014-15. I want to be able to go decently fast on the highway also (top speed) But its gonna eventually be made for street/strip. Could yall please give me as many detailed options and info on these different gears. and anything extra I should get when I get these new gears that would make it operate better.

A fox. Automatic. 3.73s. A 302 has alot of bottom end torque and 3.73s are a good match. My 2000 showed best results with 3.90s. Seemed to match up better with the 4.6. Your results may vary. 4.10s will kick ass but your gonna need sticky rubber to keep it from spinning. Jmo

Lower control arms will help too. 3.73s are a great all around daily driver gear. You aren't gonna lose alot of top end due on a street driven car. Even 4.10s will top out at 160 mph with a t-5 5 speed.
You gotta ask yourself how much you want to spend in fuel. A 302 isn't like a 4.6. The 4.6 likes rpm and really doesnt get a whole lot worse on fuel with a taller gear. A 302 will suck gas like crazy with more rpm.
That's been my experience anyways. Other guys will get different results. Yours may vary.

3.73's and yes, the 5.0's suck more fuel with rpm

DD and 4:10 gear normally don't go together but it depends on how far you drive and if its highway or city. I don't think you'll ever run out of gear in overdrive with the 4:10 unless you start making serious power.
Tire height makes a big difference in gearing as well.
Is the car going to see boost in the future or are you going to spin it higher in the RPM's in the future?
A lot of variables go into selecting a gear.

IMO with the little info given I'd put a 3:73 in it.

I would go with 3.73. It's a good all around match. I had the factory 2.73 and went with 3.55. Wish I would have gone 3.73.

Racerbox77- Im going to eventually put a 363 crate in it with some boost and water/meth, or just get some nitrous with the 363. But that's a while down the road.
Hfjeff- Could you notice the difference with the new gears? How drastic was the change? AND CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW MUCH QUICKER MY CAR WILL BE FROM MY PREVIOUS QUESTION?!?!

I've had 3 5.0's, all with 5 speeds. My first one had 3.27's, second one had 4.10's, and my current one has 3.73's. Overall I like 3.73's the best just because 1st gear is more "usable". I highway race a lot also and hated how I would have to be in 4th gear most of the time with 4.10's. But, 4.10s were ALOT of fun and if I launched it right on the street it was a rocket. I'm actually debating swapping out my 3.73s for 4.10s in my current 5.0 just because it makes the car a lot more fun and I only do city driving now. I used to DD my old fox with 4.10s 5 days a week to work which was 80 miles round trip and 90% highway. Just cruising at 70mph and 2800 ish rpms with an offroad xpipe and dumped Mac mufflers haha. Good times.

The only thing keeping me from switching to 4.10s from my 3.73s is my car has big traction issues. I'm thinking its from the lowering springs. But anyways, I say 4.10s! They're fun as shit!
