My car started running like shit today

I just got home from work. On the way home I notice that If I get on it the motor wont rev past 3000rpm without stumbling. It's like it hit a rev limiter. While sitting at a red light i put it in neutrel and tried to rev it and it backfired out of the tail pipes. The only thing I checked since I got homs was the throttle. It isn't sticking-I'm getting wot. Could this possibly be a fuel issue? Fuel pump?

By the way it's running great at part throttle.

First thing id check is fuel pressure, if that checks out, id try running your codes, and see what pops up.

Fuel pressure. If thats good do a tps voltage check. Usually it's the fuel pump starting to go out.

Yeah I would say fuel pumP as well.

It's running great now.I remember when I first bought the car,the previous owner told me not to use BP gas.The last two times I got gas before it started running like crap, I bought premium gas from Bp mostly out of convienence .I was running low so I filled up with Marathon premium and it runs perfect now. Is it the bp gas,maybe rust in the tank,fuel pump sock or the pump? I've heard the Bp thing before but I figured it was a myth.I figured gas was gas. I'm runng 13degrees of timing.

Id still check the fuel pressure, it only takes a min if you have the gauge
