I asked this on another forum but know one knew...... lets try it here.....

What the hell is this ? If you look up into the drivers side fender, hanging near the horns, there a plug looking thing, but i dont think its a plug, theres some sort of a cap over the end of it, you cant really tell from the picture, but its kind of big. Im only asking cuz im curious.

Not sure, good question though. Going to look under mine tomorrow to see if I have one and what it connects. Mine is still new so if it's there it should connect something.

My guess is it's for something your car didn't come with. An option of some sort

I see you have a different motor, do you still have all of you accesories on the new dart motor? Ummm i would guess it would have to deal with something with the... engine harness... idk with out seeing more infront of the horn and ontop in the engine bay

My fog light are hooked up, when i swaped engines, there was nothing i left disconected,

It seems to be strapped in there, idk...its wierd, im not even sure that cap comes off, but it looks like it has clips on the side of it. When i asked about it on the other forum, people remember seeing it, but had no interest in finding out what it was for, for some reason, its killing me not knowing...lol

Every one......go out to your car, right now......right now, with a flash light, and look up next to the horns, you will see it. ( drivers fender,) figure it out and reply...thanks

Your car have cruise control? That could be what it is, should be a cable going into it from the throttle body area if so

I have cruz controll and its hooked up, what ever it is, its factory, i think my car had every option, so im not sure what it would have gone to, or if its even a plug at all. I think some thought that it was some sort of a wierd relay or some thing.......in the first pic... that blurry cord on the left is my fog light plug.

My car has cruz controll,fog lights, power steering, power brakes, a/c power locks, mirrors,and windows, i cant think of any thing else that would be missing

Im pretty sure it is in fact for the daylight runners. Ford as many others do, use the same harnesses on multiple cars because its cheaper. Some plugs may be for options you dont even get with a mustang.

No.....it from the us.

I believe it might be the bundle off wires that runs through that slot just under the winshield wiper fill neck

I see what your saying, but this plug is almost 3 fingers wide....seems a little big for it to be day time running lights..... in the picture it looks small, but its big
