AFM Power Pipe N/A
I just ordered a 3.5" power pipe for my 347.
I just wanted some input on what you guys think of the pipe. For those who have used it, did it make a big difference over a cold air intake. I mainly got it cause of my MAF, I read that they don't like cold air intakes very much, and that since the power pipe would require a cone in front of the MAF, it would be perfect.

Your sapost to ask these before you buy it....lol
I really have not heard any thing about pro m maffs not liking cold air intakes. When i sent my maff to pro m to get recalibrated, they had a check off list asking if ...a stock style air box was being used or a cone air filter, so i guess they factor that in to the calibration Now if were talking about c&l maffs thats a different story, ive heard they like restrickted air flow, which defeats the point of a bigger maff...ha ha

The N/A power pipe IS a cold air intake due to it routes the filter into the fender well. I can only assume why people "dislike" the other CAI systems is due to the 90 degree bend right before the MAF meter. In the power pipe, the MAF is in-line with the filter.
I bought the AFM 4" N/A power pipe Mainly for looks, but it has great function. The pipe alone is inefficient powerwise if you dont match the rest of the intake as well. My setup for example: 90mm MAF & Filter, 4" AFM power pipe, Accufab Race TB with 90MM mouth funneling to 75MM throttle plate, with my upper intake housing ported to adapt a 75MM TB. Doing it this way allows no choke in the intake charge. My only restriction left is the intake manifold and heads.

That's why I got a 3.5". My MAF is a 75mm and my throttle body is a 70mm.
I was reading that the turbulence created by the 90 degree angle caused a false reading. Now with the cone and MAF in line, it's a straight surcharge thus creating a good ready. The only thing I wante to know is how it performs as opposed to a BBK for example..

Lmao. Auto correct SMH.
Straight air charge thus creating a good reading* I guess the only two options Pro M has is for cone style, and CAI with an elbow style. I got the cone style at their suggestion with a power pipe.
