Valve Cover Bolts 89 LX 5.0 Mustang

The other day I was checking all the valve cover bolts and happened to snap off the driver side front valve cover bolt. The stud is still stuck down in the valve cover so there isn't like a hole going all the way through. Do you guys think it would be alright to drive for a while as long as its not leaking mass amounts of oil? Also I was driving into town the day after it happened and the check engine light came on. Would this be the cause of that light? Thanks

Id just keep an eye on the oil level, but i doubt thats the cause of your cel

Yea thats what I was told by my brother. I also have all of my smog stuff not hooked up so I think the engine light will just randomly come and go

If you smog parts are not hooked up, ya...that can cause the light to come on
