GT40 or 351w heads

I have a set of new 351W heads just had ported and polished with 2.02 intake 1.60 exhaust. I found a 99 explorer I heard these have gt40 heads on them do you think it would be worth the swap to change to those heads? Or do you think I would lose power out of the deal? Thanks for any advice.

I think they have gt40p heads. They are a pain in the arse but I heard they are good heads.

I'm not completely sure of this, but I think the "p" heads require different headers also because the exhaust ports are different.

...and upon reading the link, I was right.

The exhaust port isnt different, however, the spark plug port is. The plug was repositionedn so that the spark is in the center of the combustion chamber. As a result, the plug sits at a 90 deg rather than 45ish.

Well I would run the heads you have, and spent money on. I think the gt40p slightly better, but you already have the other heads done over.
