Hid Healights in 86
Has anyone done this? I would like to increase the visibility at night and I think it would best be done with Hid's.

you have whats called a sealed beam headlight meaning in order to switch out the bulb, you have to get a sealed beam conversion headlight. you can find them on ebay maybe for about 25 a pair. after you get those new headlights you can switch out the H4 bulb that originally come with them and get an H4 HID low beam Kit on each set. hope this helps, let me know if you need more help. I've done cars similar to yours.

I want to do this eventually but what do I do about the lights? Is one of the lights a high beam and the other a low beam?

an H4 bulb is a dual filament bulb which means you have a low beam and high beam on one bulb
