stock pushrods in performance engine
I have an 89 mustang lx with a 351 windsor engine. It is basically as built as i can make it without doing forced inducion and an even larger cam. I have a comp cam (.512 lift) in it right now, and bent a pushrod. can i use an old stock pushrod i have in this engine being built as it is? or do i need some type of performance rods?

You need to measure it and replace with the same size ( thats if the pushrods in there already are the correct size to begin with)

Did you diagnose why it got bent in the first place ? You might need to change them all out to hardened push rods.
Sorry bro im no valve train expert, so im going to have to leave the rest to some who knows more about valve train components

I would certainly NOT use a stock pushrod. Aftermarket are hardened.

Thats fine. The rod bent from a rocker coming loose. Do you know if there is any way to tell a difference from hardened pushrods from stock?
