rear suspension

ok guys i just bought a 88 lx coupe, and when i bought it i noticed that the rear passenger side had a lot more fender gap then the driver side so i figured it had bad shocks so i replaced both rear shocks and it still sits high. anyone ever had this problem? that car came with SVE lowering springs...

Not gonna be a shock issue, they only dampen the bumps. You have a spring issue. Not sure if the rears NEED to be clocked like the fronts, but I made sure mine were identical (the start of the coil) when I put mine in. Or you have one spring that is going bad.

Fast is right here. I just did this. On the spring the very end of the "pig tail" must face the rear of the car... According to Maximum Motorsports instructions anyway.

I would imagine that may be enough (if they are 180 degrees from one another) to measure a difference.

What is the difference? My car had the stock springs and there was up to 3/8 difference side to side - Keep in mind that these cars don't always measure up like a new Ford.

Take a look and let us know.

isolators are the rubber around the bottoms and tops of the springs, used to quiet the spring from metal to metal contact.
