A trans question for a 92 mustang


i have a stock 92 mustang gt convertible with auto. trans. I know a guy selling a auto trans with a shift kit the trans is rebuilt and run good now my question is with my car being stock would that trans run right in my car

Shift kits have different settings. If it is set up for race, it will have a quick hard shift. At any rate, you should run a external oil cooler as trannies with shift kits are prone to overheating and slipping.

Trans cooler for sure! And it will be fine with a stock motor...Just be ready to be thrown in the back of your seat! I love that feeling!

Yeah, i wouldnt like to go on trips over 50 miles with it, but yeah, for strip use and some highway driving, they are a good trans.

Trans cooler = oil cooler. They are the same...Just get the biggest one you can find...There is an 11" by 11" B&M trans cooler on www.summitracing.com for like $95.
