Stang wont stay running, after warm up...????

Could it be the fact that maybe there is no wire coming off of the alternator to the ground??? the Local "auto parts superstore" says that i don't need to have a ground wire hooked up to the alternator, i have the old style ford alt. pn 7078 with separate field power and stator hook ups??????

You definately need a ground but that might not be the problem.... Just try that and see if it is something else....

Also, if you just let your car sit in the driveway and idle for about 15 minutes and then it dies it could be a number of problems.

Ground the alt, check the fuel filter and all of your other fluids, make sure that your intake isn't clogged up, (might want to oil it if your intake calls for it once a year), check all of your spark plugs cause it could be a misfire......

It could be a number of things.........

get a stick and beat the mustang.. it will keep running when its hot...
