Long Tube/ short tube
OK, I called HEDMAN, and from what I gather I have to go with shorties if I am to keep the 02 sensors unless I use a 02bung or a reducer with 02 ports.
Keep in mind that I want a everyday driver, not looking to enter any drag races. I have no exhaust on the car at all now. I can see now why exhaust has it's own sub-title

if im not mistaken you have a 1990 Mustang GT w/5.0 but you may want to go ahead and update your "Garage" tab, so everyone will know what model you are talking about.

Thanks
well, it is a 89/90 lx 5.0
89 body 90 everything else also is there a problem if I use 3inch headers and then have 2.5 inch cats. I know someone who has some 2.5" cats from catco for a decent price.

The long tubes are going to give you more power across the board. The shorty's will be a increase but not a really great increase. I'd say go long tubes all the way.

You can weld a bung into the collector pipe and run an oxygen sensor extender harness from the wiring harness to the oxygen sensor. That is what I did for my long tubes (except the bung was prewelded and coated into the collector pipe). Why waste the money on short tubes if you have no emissions?
