On street tires? Just put slicks on for the track. I say a 13.0 on street tires and a 12.4/5 on slicks. Stock cam is a decent cam...Id rather have that than the shitty b I have now.

That's probably around 260rwhp. 13's does sound about right.

You might be suprised with what that combo will do. People have gotten some pretty fast times with that setup. And like said before, the stock cam isn't that bad. On a mild setup like that it's probably about the best choice as far as having a smooth powerband while still performing decent.

The 1.7 rockers will add lift without changing the duration as far as I know. The lower duration of the stock cam gives you that nice torque muscle cars need for a nice launch. The only can I would use over stock is a custom ground, and with your set up that probably wont change much from stock.

I was thinking 240-260 Hp at the flywheel and 15 to 20% loss thru driveline.

not sure if this website will have accurate/updated data for the 5.0's but you can do a search and see what you come up with

Drag Racing 1/4 Mile times 0-60 Dyno Fast Cars Muscle Cars - DragTimes.com

And then althought not 100% accurate you can take the ET and weight to estimate HP

ET-MPH-HP Calculator

It would change a decent amount from stock, actually. Definitely more lift...Something in the. 510-.540 range and a little more duration to make it pull higher.

You're probably right around 250-265rwhp with the stock cam. Swap it out for a custom grind and you can be near the 300 mark.

It does change duration, but it's such a minute amount it really doesn't count for anything. I tried finding the thread on the corral but came up with nothin.

Engine bay is empty. Preparing for LS scumbaggery.

If you do a cam above 500 you'll have to get new springs. Don't buy a ford cam

Shit man, Tmoss himself made something like 280rwhp with stock gt40ps/explorer intake, shorties and a degreed stock cam.

Other than the battery relocation you're doing now, I wouldn't mess with your setup. You have more than enough suspension work for a lower powered car. Shit, people with bone stock suspension and subframe connectors go low 11s.
