Number of 86 t-top

Does anyone have an idea of the number of t-top gt's that were produced in 86. I have contacted ford and to no avail---no answer. any help would be appreciated

Have you wrote them In reguards to Info on your car?

I had sent them an E-mail with My Vin# and Aksed if it had Been a Cop car.

About 1 Month or so later (maybe a little less) Got a letter with all the Info on my car. Wasn't an old cop car. But it said what # mine was out of how many were made for that year. That might get you closer to an Answer.

I am pretty sure that it is around 2900. That is a somewhat rough estimate but it is in the ballpark of it though.

1986 and 85 were the highest production yearsa of t-top mustangs, the lowest and last year was 1988 with only 289 made

289?????? That low? Guess I'm one of the lucky ones. I have a 88' T-top LX 5.0!!!!!

I cant find any data for T-tops produced only the sales number for each type of mustang sold in 86 which probably doesnt help much.

2 door coupe 106,720 (includes 22,946 convertibles)
3 door coupe 117,690 (includes 3382 SVO's sold)

Total 224,410 sold
