Hold Down???
Does anyone have problems with your distributor loosening up? Also does the distributor seat and/or rests on block where the hold down is? Or does it rest on the oil shaft?
Thanks jon

the base of the distributor shoud rest on the block, not supported by the oil pump shaft. Sounds like you have the wrong distributor or your not getting it fully seated.

When I converted my car to carb and changed to an edelbrock intake, I could not use the factory distributor because it was too wide to fit on the edelbrock. Ended up going with a mallory distributor instead.
