timing case cover woes on 5.0
well unbolted everything tonight and cleaned off everything. my issue is the lower 3 piece gasket connecting the oil pan to the cover. i have my doubts wether or not they will seal.
i cut the cork pieces to fit but cut off the lil extra nipple as well smeared a ton of sealant on the pan put on the pieces and smeared more on top of the cork. and then my FAVORITE gasket the damn half circle gasket i was wondering how u guys like to do it???? i coated the indent on the cover with sealant put on the rubber gasket on and then coated the indent on the pan with sealant..it was kinda dark im gonna check on it tommorow but i have alot of doubts that this is gonna seal it. is there a trick to this that im missing? |
