I just replaced my Clutch, Pressure plate, Pilot and throwout bearings. The car drove fine for a few days, and the other night it wouldn't go into gear, and acted as if the clutch wasn't engaging. I got it home and replaced the factory clutch cable with a new one, the old one looked as if it had stretched 1 1/2". It drove fine on the way to work, however on the way back I lost all clutch pressure again. I had routed the cable wrong and managed to melt through the whole cable. I bought another replacement cable, put it in, adjusted it, drove it a few blocks, pulled over to check everything out, and when i went to drive again, once again, no clutch pressure. I look under the car at the cable and the plastic end that holds it straight before it attaches to the fork had shattered into 4 pieces.
Now I have a few questions- Where is the cable supposed to be routed through? anyone have a picture or two?
Second, would anything in the bellhousing have caused my problems or is it just the cable?
