Hatchback battery relocation

I am going to be buying a rear seat delete kit for my hatchback and want to relocate my my battery. I was wondering if anyone has ever mounted it where the spare tire is? I'm trying to go with a clean look and that would go a mile in doing that.

Unless you can get lower profile battery, it will stick up above the floor. At least it did when I tried to put mine back there, but who knows, my battery does seem to be a little bigger than the stock size.

tru about the gas tank...you could go wild and put some blocks under the tank where it meets the body........or just not at all.....
