Where is your fuel pressure gauge? (under hood)

I'm trying to finish up my car so I can fire it up with my new mods and the EGR Valve is in the way of my new fuel pressure gauge.

I bought the rail mount BBK adjustable fuel pressure regulator and the matching BBK psi gauge that screws into the side of the regulator. The regulator clears but the gauge won't because my EGR Valve.

My question is what is the simplest thing to do about this?

Thanks.

i'm not familiar with that particular fuel pressure gauge but most fuel pressure gauges (including mine) screw into the shrader valve.

here you can see mine just behind the passenger side plug wires:

I believe you need to get the BBK pressure regulator. It replaces the stock one and has a shrader valve on it.

Never mind. Shoulda kept reading. You have to put it on the line like Tengram then. He's right that is where most put them, cuz the stock reg doesn't have a shrader.

I had a BBK and now an Aeromotive FPR, both had the 1/8 NPT sensing port for a fuel pressure gauge under the vacuum line. I do not remember the EGR getting in the way but I did have clearance problems with attaching my fuel pressure sending unit. I got a brass 1/8 NPT 2 inch male-male extension (also called a pipe nipple) and a brass 1/8 npt female-female coupling from Home Depot for like $5. The two put together gives you a 1/8 NPT extension about 2.5 inches long that should provide enough clearance to attach your mechanical gauge. If you need more room, HD also sales longer pipe nipples and has various elbows that should allow you to get something going.

An example of the nipple and coupler can be found here:
http://www.spmed.com/SPresults2.asp?...AND%20ADAPTORS
The nipple would be MPF-102 and the female coupler would be MPF-321

Don't forget to use Teflon tape on the connections.

Edit.. Sorry, the stock fuel rail Shrader valve is probably the most logical place to attach it like others have said. My intake suction pipe for my SC and my AC line block easy access to that so I attached mine to the FPR sensing port and needed the above adapter for clearance.
