Yeah I agree, a stack for a rack and pinion and tie-rod install is a bit much...

Re: Rack and pinion ??????
2: Remove tie rod ends from spindel: You will have to remove the cotter pins, discard them and get new ones. I would rent a tie rod remover from autozone, do not use a tuning fork, it will damage the rubber boot, they have one that looks like a c clamp that is made for the job, unless you want to change the tie rod ends also, that is your call..... 3: Remove the tie rod ends from the rack: There is a lock nut, and then the tie rod ends just twist off, you can do this now, or it may be easier after you get the rack away from the car. Count the number of turns it takes to remove the tie rod ends, and when you reinstall them you will be CLOSE to where you were before you removed them. I would STRONGLY suggest a alignment after you replace the rack, but this procedure will get you to the shop without eating the tires away. 4: Disconnect the R&P lines from the power steering pump 5: Remove the 2 large nuts that hold the rack in place 6: Place a suitable prying device behind the rack, and working from side to side, remove the rack 7: Put the old or new tie rod ends on the rack: Be sure you put all of the bushings back in place, I forgot the rubber behind the rack, and had to take it off again :-) Put the nuts back on the rack 8: Replace the Power steering lines, I would go ahead and get all of the fluid out of the pump, and install new. If you turn the pump by hand, the fluid will shoot out :-) 9: Insert the tie rod ends into the spindels, tap them with a rubber mallet to seat them, tighten nut, and then put in a cotter pin. 10: Install the steering wheel to rack rubber/mount that you removed GO GET A ALIGNMENT, DO IT NOW, GO NOW :-) Hope that helped some. It is not really bad...................
