How much boost can I handle?
Hi I have a 95 GTS with Edelbrock Performer heads and Powerdyne supercharger and more, I am currently putting out about 412 HP, just wanted to know how much boost a stock 302 block can handle. I am currently running 6 pounds of boost. I want to upgrade to a 11 pound pulley. Thanks in advance.

Well the boost is not the actual problem. The problem is the power your going to create from the added boost. The stock block on a 5.0 will split down the middle right around 500 hp. I have seen some last for a short while making like 550 but overall the limit is 500. I would probably not go over 470 or so if you want it to last very long at all. I would say with 11 lbs you will probably be right at 500 hp so you might want to switch to a 9 psi pulley first and see what kind of power you make on a dyno and then switch to the 11 if your below 500.
