won't go into park
I have and auto c4 tranny and I can put the shifer(hurst quarter stick) into park but the tranny doesn't seem to want to go into park. The first time it happened was on slight slop and my car started rolling backwards making a clunking sound, now it just stays fully in reverse.
 Any ideas?

does the shifter have stops ?

I guess i'm not sure what u mean by stops. There is a little lever deal next to the shifter but i've never messed with that before.
