HO Engine Firing Order ?

Am I correct in assuming that since the 5.0 HOs have a different firing order than the non-HO 5.0 engines, that the cams and cranks are non-noninterchangeable between the two?

i'm not sure about the cams and cranks but yes there firing order is different.

I believe the HO has the same firing order as the 351

I believe other than the firing order and the intake facing the other way, the cam is the only difference between the two.

CAM

Consensus is that it is only the cam that is non-interchangeable.

The crank is interchangeable. the h.o. cam can be used in non h.o. and vise versa but you must change the position of the plugwires to match the cam.

the ho firing order is 1 3 7 2 6 5 4 8 counter clockwise from the #1 spot on the distributor cap. of course the #1 spark plug is the front spark plug on the passanger side when you are looking from the font of the engine. hope this helps.
