Timing Question

My CompCam is advanced 4 degrees from them so where should my timing be set at and how far can or should I advance it.

That means the cam is ground with 4 degrees advance built into it. That is referring to valve timing, not ignition timing. You will have to experiement with ignition timing to see what the engine likes.

Thats exactly right, but this will not affect your base timing. Set it at 14* and go out LS1 hunting.
