wet shot?


93 5.0 with e cam and bolt ons i know the pistons are not forged cause 93 but what would be the biggest shot i could run without eating a piston?

Well there is always a chance of causing destruction to a motor when you start throwing more power at it but I am sure that a 90 shot would be extremely safe to spray on it. IF you have it setup right and don't run lean I am sure you would even be safe with a 125 or 150 shot. I would not go over 150 for sure though.

ok thanks alot, usually i post this on forums and all i get is people scared of the bottle, but i have had very good results on previous cars

I've sprayed 150 at a hyper piston motor regularly. Tuning is important. As long as you are not detonating and the A/F is good the hyper pistons will hold up just as good as forged. However, if you are detonating or running lean, forged pistons will give you a much larger margin of safety. So keep that in mind, start safe. Pull timing out, go with a step or two colder plug, get an A/F gauge, run the highest octane fuel possible and READ YOUR PLUGS. If you go about this the right way, you should be able to work your way up to 150 hp and have a good tune. Above all, listen to the manufacturer of the kit you choose. They usually know more than most people on here...
